Start of 2007 !
The beginning of a New Year at MRMS! We have been very busy, as you will see from the following.
The architecture station is full of action: hammers, nails, wire, wood glue, and paints.
In addition to building projects, there are several architectural drawings being created.
Thank you to parents who have donated bits and pieces of wood. Most of the wood the students use comes from the trash bins at local building stores. The Black Forest Lumber Yard has donated wood scraps and we thank them!
This is an amazing architectural pencil drawing. The young architect responsible for this masterpiece is currently looking for a very wealthy sponsor to finance the construction of this work!
Scratchboard! There is a thin clay surface on top of tagboard. The clay is saturated with black ink. The artist uses scratchboard tools to etch away at the surface and uncover the white surface.
The fibre arts are alive and well in the MRMS Art Studio.
Round hat looms are very popular this quarter. Hats are being created for students, cousins, and parents!
