sahlep

i would just like to take a moment to express my great love
for sahlep. sahlep is a drink that i discovered the last night
i was in istanbul, sitting next to the bosphorus, at the mado
cafe in ortakoy with kasim. sahlep is made with dried orchid
roots-- mixed with milk, and served piping hot. it's absolutely
delicious.

well, with the snow falling outside and the siberian winds
blowing from the north, it's the perfect time for sahlep again.
had some last night-- curled up on the couch, next to the
radiator-- smiling, feeling happy, warm, content.
