marmaris

ahhhhh...... that's me on the shores of rhodes, greece, on my way back to the
ferry to marmaris. it was windy, beautiful. i'd love to see more of greece (athens,
perhaps?) time-permitting. but for a day trip, it was absolutely fantastic.

marmaris is equally charming, though overrun with tourists. it's greener, more
mountainous, and lovely. i really enjoyed it there-- it was peaceful and i could
finally relax and unwind a bit. much needed!!

spent the afternoon yesterday traveling from marmaris to istanbul (via dalaman)
and came home to a house full of people-- friends, familiar faces-- cooking, drinking
wine, smiling, laughing. i was exhausted when i arrived, but was so happy to see
my home was full of friends, everyone enjoying themselves and making me smile.

and back in istanbul....

Camille, In the movie "Shirley Valentine" that is essentially what she did but her Brit husband was an idiot. She ended up staying in the Greek Isles somewhere serving that English breakfast at a small cafe on the beach. It was really quite aweet she realized that the Greek man who was played by Tom Conte? was just there for the fun of it f*** tourist women and it was okay with her. He owned cafe and needed her to run it so she used him too. Sounds like a long way to get layed. Not my bag either. Well where is the pic of you and sunglasses. love your blog and you look absolutely great--love Sandy

Oh, the picture of Greece looks nice!! But the island rhodes is not by my meaning the most beautiful, its actually also full of tourist ones the season go forward. I recommend the island Santorini, its soooo beautiful!!! Get an image on www.santorini.net. Also I will say the cuisine is absolutely delicious!
