istanbul, as seen from above

took some interesting photos of istanbul yesterday, from the inside of onur flight 99 from dalaman to istanbul. this one is my favorite, of the golden horn. the water nearest the camera is an inlet (and forms the golden horn, where the aya sofia and blue mosque are situated) and you can see in the background where the bosphorus begins. the large body of water that goes on and on is the marmara sea.

it was a lovely little scenic tour of the city by air.
